August 18, 2009 Greetings Ecclesia* of Florida, I want to first thank so many of you that called me during the conference in Orlando and asked about my absence. What a blessing to be missed! My husband David is battling a serious case of bronchitis and I knew my place was at home with him. I have traveled extensively around the world for 20 years with David as the head of my fan club. In the midst of 40 years of marriage he has preferred me before himself countless times but last weekend was my time to prefer him. I have of course listen to CD’s and spoken with Chuck and know that the Ecclesia of Florida must not come off her watchmen walls nor relinquish our authority in the heavenlies. The last email I sent out across the state was report concerning the fruit of our Florida Flotilla. The Lord spoke to me and addressed the issue of python being the work of divination. When we look at the account of the soothsaying work of a damsel in the book of Acts we are seeing the work of the spirit of python; “And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination [G4436] met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:” Acts 16:16 ____________________________ A little study . . . Strongs Exhastive Concordance - G4436 Puthōn From Πυθώ Puthō (the name of the region where Delphi, the seat of the famous oracle, was located); a Python, that is, diviner , inspiration (soothsaying): divination. Believer's Study Bible 16:16 This “spirit of divination” is pneuma puthōgna (Gk.), meaning “spirit of python.” Python was the serpent at Delphi destroyed by Apollo. Apollo was known as Pythios Apollo, his female priestess at Delphi being called Pythia. Apollo was properly suggested in this verse, since he was the mythical god of prophecy. About a.d. 50–100, Plutarch maintained that the term puthōgnes applied to ventriloquists, and those having familiar spirits were called ventriloquists (Lev. 19:31; 20:6, 27; including the witch of Endor in 1 Sam. 28:7). It is possible, therefore, that the slave girl had this same spirit of divination, probably a demonic one, for the girl “brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling.” The exorcism caused the girl’s owners to make charges which resulted in the jailing of Paul and Silas. Ac 16:16 ___________________________ The Lord said that He was giving us “a window of time” to contend with this strongman. He said that we are to go and put our feet on locations across our state that operate under the influence and counsel of this spirit and command it to release our territory. In Dr. Peter Wagner’s book “Confronting the Powers” [pgs. 195-196] he speaks of “evicting the python spirit”. He said it is a territorial spirit and therefore a strategic level confrontation. I believe Cindy Jacobs gave a confirming word on this subject at the conference when she spoke about the occult being strong in Florida. In asking you to review your cities and counties and consider sites to go to and pray I want to say this is not yesterday’s warfare. Please seek the counsel of the Lord as to where you are to go and don’t fall into a rote work of intercession and warfare. The Lord most likely has a number of various strategies in the midst of this assignment. There are the obvious locations such as; tarot card or palm readers, crystal healings, astrology, channeling, Hinduism, New Age or metaphysical bookstores, Wiccan works [Cindy stated that Wicca will be one the largest religions in our nation by 2012 if we don't make some changes.] just to name a few. However, in the midst of the “obvious” please seek the Lord as to any hidden works in your cities. Form your teams and wait on the Lord for His strategy at each location. Let us not fall into the deception that Joshua did [Joshua 9] and “ask not counsel at the mouth of the Lord [vs.14]. Chuck said the works we did concerning our waters brought a portion of breakthrough. I believe this assignment is yet another provision from the Lord to bring Florida to victory over darkness.
