At the risk of sounding dramatic, I am under the burden of the Lord in sending out this communication. With many of you I communicate all the time; with others, it has been a while since you have heard from me. For the sake of those who I have not been in touch with on a continuous basis, I will need to reiterate the two primary focuses of the Battle Axe Brigade in this season. UNITED NATIONS FOCUS Over the last six years, God has called us to better understand the dynamics and the unrighteous agenda of the United Nations (UN). We are fully convinced that it is the Lord’s intention for us to have a part in educating the Body of Christ concerning the UN, and prompting her to pray for it. Since our country moved into war against Iraq, more people have heard about the United Nations than ever before. I believe that the United Nations is an escalating global power and authority. A platform is being built for the UN to gain greater influence and control over the nations. It is my personal belief that the United Nations will be the initial platform for a one-world government. A major organization within the UN that is considered the machinery of global governance is the Commission on Global Convergence. The Commission believes that world events, since the creation of the UN, combined with advances in technology, the information revolution, and the now-global awareness of impending environmental catastrophe, create a climate in which the people of the world will recognize the need for, and the benefits of, global governance. Global governance is a procedure toward defined objectives that employs a variety of methods, none of which give the governed an opportunity to vote “yes” or “no” for the outcome. Decisions taken by administrative bodies, or by bodies of appointed delegates, or by “accredited” civil society organizations, are already implementing many of the Commission’s recommendations. Many of these recommendations consist of specific proposals to expand the authority of the UN. In our nation one of the things that we hold most precious is the privilege and right to rear our children. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child reflects the work of the UN to severely lessen our rights as parents, moving the government more and more into position to rear our children. One of their focuses is to prepare our children to be global citizens. Are you familiar with the UN’s “International Criminal Court” or the “Law of the Sea Treaty”? Do the terms “Sustainable Development” or “Tobin Tax” mean anything to you? These are agencies and agendas that, if they are not already affecting us, soon will be. The Lord has committed our hearts to fervent prayer for a harvest in the midst of this organization. ROMAN CATHOLIC FOCUS For the past several years, He has called us to pray for those bound by the “spirit of religion”. He has taught us how it develops false religious systems and then operates through them, such as Freemasonry, Mormonism, Santeria, etc. For the past four years the false system of Roman Catholicism has been our focus. He has placed a passion within us for the millions in the U.S. and the billion worldwide that this system holds in bondage. He has caused our hearts to groan for a release of these captives, with an expectation for a great harvest. The Lord showed me that since 911 seldom would a Christian pass by a mosque and not pray for a revelation of salvation. Yet how often do we pass by a Catholic church without realizing that they, too, need a revelation of grace and salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Please, before you take offense that a comparison is being made between the Islamic faith and the Roman Catholic faith, take the time and read the fullness of what I am sharing. The Lord told me that He hates the false religious structure of Catholicism and in His mercy He wants the people delivered. Dr. C. Peter Wagner defines the spirit of religion as “an agent of Satan assigned to prevent change and maintain the status quo by using religious devices.” (Religion being defined in practically any dictionary as beliefs and activities that are involved in superhuman or supernatural forces.) Dr. Wagner also stated, “The key to defeat the spirit of religion is the transformation of the mind.” I believe it is the spirit of religion that has brought forth the doctrines of Catholicism that either keeps a people from the salvation of the Lord or from knowing the fullness of His kingdom on the earth. Below are two such doctrines. These doctrines come from their official catechism. The first principle doctrine concerns the mixing of human wisdom with the Holy Bible and calling the mixture truth: “Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture, then, are bound closely together and communicate one with the other. For both of them, flowing out from the same divine well-spring, come together in some fashion to form one thing and move towards the same goal …” [80] “As a result the Church, to whom the transmission and interpretation of revelation is entrusted, ‘does not derive her certainty about all revealed truths from the holy Scriptures alone. Both Scripture and Tradition must be accepted and honored with equal sentiments of devotion and reverence.’” [82] (Source: Catechism of the Catholic Church, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Imprimi Potest, New York, NY; Doubleday, 1995) The Roman Catholic Church considers Sacred Traditions as part of the unwritten Word of God. They derive these “traditions” from popes, the liturgy of the mass, and various saints. These doctrines conflict with the teachings of the Holy Bible. Titus 2:1 says you must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. “Howbeit in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And He said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.” Mark 7:7-9, 13 (emphasis mine) “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16 The second principle doctrine relates to Mary being central to salvation: “Being obedient she (Mary) became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race.” [494] “Taken up to heaven (Mary) did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation…” [969] “She (Mary) is inseparably linked with the saving work of her Son.” [1172] (Source: Catechism of the Catholic Church, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Imprimi Potest, New York, NY; Doubleday, 1995) Now let us look at the only true avenue to salvation according to the Holy Bible. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 “Jesus saith unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.’” John 14:6 Colossians 2:8 tells us to “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ.” I could go on and on documenting the doctrines of Catholicism but hope these first two establish a sufficient platform for what is being built here. I can’t imagine any true believer hates Muslims. We hate the religious structure/strongman of Islam. We do not hate Roman Catholics. We hate the religious structure/strongman of Catholicism. Our research has revealed that in our nation there are slightly over 5,500 Buddhist shrines and schools. There are 178 Hindu temples and slightly over 1,200 Muslim teaching centers and mosques. (Source: Fred Woolf List Company) Roman Catholics number 67 million in our country alone. This is a very large field for harvest. (Source: Official Catholic Directory 2003, New Providence, NJ: P. J. Kenedy and Sons) DYNAMIC DUO In the midst of being so involved in these two arenas, we have come to recognize the interconnection between the United Nations and the Roman Catholic Church – the Dynamic Duo. Both operate with a strong focus for global civil government as well as a determined push for a global interfaith religion. Pope John Paul II, as well as a number of his predecessors, has voiced strong support for a global government under the leadership of the United Nations. Vatican City, even though it holds only an “observer status” position at the United Nations, is a very strong voice of influence and affirmation. Several months ago, the Lord spoke to me and said, “I want to prepare My people to live in captivity”. I believe the “captivity” will be the dictates of a one-world government, a one-world economic system, and a one-world religion. The Lord told me “the better you understand your enemy’s goals, their strategies and tactics, the more readied you will be to live victoriously, even in captivity”.
