We have collected several Scriptures to use when praying and declaring over Florida’s waterways. As examples of how we can pray the Word, the first few Scriptures are transformed into a useable prayer format:
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply,
and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of
the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that
moveth upon the earth.” Genesis
1:28
“And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the
earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth,
and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.”
Genesis 9:2
“Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from
the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto
the uttermost sea shall your coast be.” Deuteronomy 11:24
“And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were
discovered, at the rebuking of the Lord, at the blast of the breath of His
nostrils.” 2 Samuel 22:16
“Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of
heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein,
the seas, and all that is therein, and Thou preservest them all; and the
host of heaven worshippeth Thee.” Nehemiah 9:6
“He divideth the sea with His power, and by His understanding He smiteth
through the proud.” Job 26:12 “Behold, He spreadeth His light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.” Job 36:30 “Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?” Job 38:8 “Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?” Job 38:16 “Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:” all heep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; the fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.” Psalm 8:6-8 (these verses refer to the authority of stewardship over God’s creation that He has given to us)
“Give
unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto
the LORD the glory due unto His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of
holiness. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory
thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful;
the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD
breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. He maketh them also to skip like a calf;
Lebanon
and Sirion like a young unicorn. The voice of the LORD divideth the flames
of fire. The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the
wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and
discovereth the forests: and in His temple doth every one speak of His
glory. The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.
The LORD will give strength unto His people; the LORD will bless His people
with peace.” Psalms 29:1-11 “He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: He layeth up the depth in storehouses.” Psalm 33:7 “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.” Psalm 72:8 “Thou didst divide the sea by Thy strength: Thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: Thou driedst up mighty rivers.” Psalm 74:15 “Thy way is in the sea, and Thy path in the great waters, and Thy footsteps are not known.” Psalm 77:19 “The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.” Psalm 93:4 “Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is His also. The sea is His, and He made it: and His hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.” Psalm 95:2-6 “Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.” Psalms 96:11 “O LORD, how manifold are Thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of Thy riches. So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom Thou hast made to play therein. These wait all upon Thee; that Thou mayest give them their meat in due season. That Thou givest them they gather: thou openest Thine hand, they are filled with good. Thou hidest Thy face, they are troubled: Thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. Thou sendest forth Thy Spirit, they are created: and Thou renewest the face of the earth.” Psalms 104:24-30 “They that go down to the sea in ships that do business in great waters; These see the works of the Lord, and His wonders in the deep. For He commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and He bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so He bringeth them unto their desired haven. Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!” Psalm 107:23-31 “When He established the clouds above: when He strengthened the fountains of the deep: When He gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass His commandment: when He appointed the foundations of the earth: Then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him: and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him;” Proverbs 8:28-30 “They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea. Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.” Isaiah 24:14-15 “Sing unto the LORD a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare His praise in the islands. The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: He shall cry, yea, roar; He shall prevail against His enemies.” Isaiah 42:10-13 “Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;” Isaiah 43:16 “Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is My and shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.” Isaiah 50:2 “But I am the LORD thy God that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is His name.” Isaiah 51:15 “Fear ye not Me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at My presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?” Jeremiah 5:22 “But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him! Matthew 8:27 “And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:” Acts 14:15 “ And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever.” Revelation 5:13
